Summer Recreation 2018

Welcome to the WPR Summer Recreation Program. Each weekly session is themed around our mission "Support active lifestyles through a variety of health, wellness and wilderness opportunities." Each child will be given the opportunity to develop their physical, social, intellectual and emotional well-being as well as express their individual creativity. The curriculum of this program aims to give its participants the opportunity to grow and learn within a safe and encouraging environment. With activities planned in both structured and unstructured (open play) style, we aim to help all those enrolled have an exciting, enriching and enjoyable summer camp experience.

• Open Registration: 5/8/18
• Registration: Be sure to set up an online account for each participant at www.wrangellrec.com or at the Pool Office prior to the weekly camp. Each participant must be registered in the Summer Recreation 2018 Program before they may attend. Registration and payment choices include selecting certain days of the overall program, weekly or summer and making payment for those choices at checkout. Those that choose the weekly and summer rate will automatically receive a pre-calculated discount in price (13% savings for the week and 35% for the summer). All activity registrations and payments must be received before your child may participate in any of the camps. Summer Recreation Staff does not take registration in the field. Please note that the Pool Office is closed from 1:30-3:30 pm.
• Fee Options: $12 per Day, $50 per Session (week), $350 per Summer (All 9 Camps).
• Payment Options: Cash, Check or Credit Card either online or at the Pool Office. Punch Cards are not available for Summer Rec.

• Season Dates: 6/4/18 - 8/10/18, 9 Weeks
• Days of the Week: Monday thru Friday
• Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm
• Age: 6-11, homeschool students are encouraged to join
• Weekly Camps: 9 Camps that run Monday thru Friday
• Lunch: Children can be picked up at 12:00 p.m. for the lunch hour, or if they are provided they with a sack lunch, they may remain on site and under the supervision of Parks & Rec staff
• Main Staff: TBA
• Transportation: Parents are responsible for transporting their children to and from the Community Center for the Summer Rec Program. In the event we have an all-day outing, your child will be transported by van (Wrangell High School vehicle), by a licensed adult. If a problem arises where you are unable to pick-up your child at the specified times, please notify staff in advance so that other arrangements can be made. • Camp 3: June 18-22
• Camp 4: June 25-29
• NO CAMP: JULY 2-6
• Camp 5: July 9-13
• Camp 6: July 16-20
• Camp 7: July 23-27
• Camp 8: July 30-August 3
• Camp 9: August 6-10

• WPR Refund Policy Description:
• A full refund or credit will be issued if the department cancels a program due to lack of enrollment or any other unforeseen reason.
• If the program is a limited enrollment program and the spot can be resold, a full refund/credit will be issued less a $10.00 processing fee.
• For any program in which a minimum enrollment is required and the refund would cause cancellation of that program, NO refund/credit will be issued.
• For any other program, the refund or credit given will be pro-rated from the time the participant informs the department of their desire for a refund. A $10.00 processing fee will be deducted from their pro-rated refund.
• NO refund or credit shall be issued after the program is more than 50% completed.
