Welcome
The Winter Workout Challenge is a two month progressively building challenge with a variety of exercise options for people of ALL fitness levels. Your Parks and Recreation staff have developed 8 weeks of workouts for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level exercisers in weight-strength, cardio, and aquatic categories. The mission of the Winter Workout Challenge (WWC) is to provide an opportunity for the community to kick-start their fitness and find healthy ways to increase their energy in the dark, wet, and cold winters in Wrangell.

The WWC is also a contest of sorts. The participant who completes the greatest amount of workouts in the 8 week period will win an Annual Pass to the facility, as well as the Grand Prize basket! The WWC provides the intrinsic incentive of increased health, fitness, and confidence. Not to mention opportunities for exploring different types of exercise and meeting new friends!

Wrangell Parks & Rec have also teamed up with local businesses in the community who support the mission behind the WWC and have generously donated gifts that will be raffled off each week to participants who complete at least one approved workout that week.
