Wolfpack Wrestling 2019

Wrestling is a great way for youth to learn self-respect, discipline, team work and a strong work ethic. We encourage all youth to try it at least once. You may just find that you are cut out for the oldest and greatest sport around.

• Date: March 9th, 2019
• Boat Transport: Breakaway Adventures
• Depart: 3/9 @ 7:00AM - BE AT THE RELIANCE DOCK BY 6:45AM
• Return: 3/9 @ 4:30PM - BE AT THE BUS (LOCATION TBD) BY 3:30PM
• NOTE: TRAVEL TIMES CAN CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER. WE WILL CONTINUE TO UPDATE PARENTS
• Bus Transport: Stikine Bus Services
• Wrestler/Parent Travel Fees: $50 per person
• A parent/guardian must travel with their child. If a parent is unable to travel, please arrange for a guardian, which includes completing the Temporary Guardian Form (see forms and links, below)
• Tournament Schedule: Coming Soon!
• IMPORTANT: Parents/Guardians MUST supervise their child at the gym, and throughout travel/transport. Coaches will be coaching, and will not be responsible for managing behaviors, or the whereabouts of participants. It is important that we leave a solid impression, while traveling within the Southeast Communities.
• TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL SPORTS TRAVEL:
• If you have questions, contact the P&R Office at 874-2444
• Complete Temporary Guardian Form (if applicable) and return to P&R ASAP
• Pay the Travel Fees by due date (coming soon)
• Pack wrestling supplies (shoes, singlet, sweats, tees, etc.)!!
• Bring snacks + water
• Get plenty of rest the night before the trip
• Dress for the weather!
• Leave the Breakaway boat, the bus and the gym clean
• Give a BIG THANK YOU to referees, coaches, organizers - most of which are volunteers
• Show up on time for transport - we work with Breakaway Adventures and Stikine Bus Services, who each have a schedule to maintain. It's important that our participants and parents are on time.

Please ensure that you're checking all emails from the City of Wrangell Parks & Recreation or recreation@wrangell.com. Email is a consistent way to communicate schedule changes, important information regarding the program and helpful tips.
